What's the point of the Capri bits if you've covered them in so much other crap you can't get to, or work on them?
You're going to damage more important bits keeping the crap.
Been there, worked it out, got a few quid from the scrap man, broke a waste bin, annoyed some tip attendants (you can't put car parts in there . . . They aren't car parts (chopped up into bits MX5 dash)) and subsequently have had much more enjoyment from using the car I now had time and space to rebuild and drive . . .
Never missed the stuff I could have kept as it might save me 50p in the future, or was too good to scrap even though I had no use, had never had a use, and 99% never would.
too much crap in the way to get sorted out and poor storage areas to restack intoOnce I'm organised I'll have room for MORE!
These threads keep on going round and round with no outcome.
The only person that can help you is yourself.
Happy New year, I wish you all the best.
Yes mate, just cut a strip of breathable roofing menbrane 400mm wide and use that, keep the venting strip out of the kit until you put a new roof on. The roll in the kit is only a vent really and not there to 100% waterproof the ridge.I AM making headway. I can now see the doors and bonnets that need to go "upstairs". I'm sure I've two bonnets there actually.
I've had a tough couple of years!
Sod's Law, right where I want to site the leccy hoist is under a big hole in the ridge:

I wondered where that funnel had got to!
@roofman think I've asked before but is there any way I can fit a dry ridge and not, for now at least, stick the sticky stuff down?
Only if you're going to use them VERY SOON and put LEDs in them.So you're saying these fluorescent fittings might come in handy one day?
Only if you're going to use them VERY SOON and put LEDs in them.
I'm in the same position, but my workshop fluoro fittings are now fully occupied with LEDs, and a few fluoro battens will have LEDs put in them real soon.
There's no diffusers with them so out they go! If I put them up I'll only likely whack the tubes!
And if your chucking the fittings you might as well sling the tubes too, because you can garuntee they won't be the right size to fit any of your current fittings.I can see some tubes off to one side in the eaeaves.
Bin, Bucket, Depose of.Let the bidding begin, you know you want it!
Firewood.Picture frames anyone?
How very dare you call me reasonable! The voice of reason![]()

Happened to drop into a Wickes DIY store one day , found a brilliant wide tread three stage 3m loft ladder for £99 complete with all fittings but the outer plastic bag had been ripped so it looked tatty . Normal price £160 or so plus VAT .I think I need to make a loft ladder......
eBay cheap 7 to 1 pulley set with crap rope ( ask how I know ? ) good for a 5m hoist , same in Temu IIRC was £7 and took3 weeks.Oh my back doth protest! Two doors and two bonnets to go.
