Recommend them, they repaired a circuit board for me last week. And Tec-Arc in York.
Yup ^^^ same here. What machine would you guys recommend as I would like a Hypertherm 45 but sync system has put me off massively.
Yes, IIRC all the way up to the 85 machine will run on either flavor of electrons. Can you get a Hypertherm 65 to run on single phase. I have a 40amp single phase supply with a 32 amp plug but I can easily upgrade the cable and plug to 63 and 10mm as it’s less than 2 meters from meter
That's pretty much how the plasma cutter was invented....Sort-of wondering if my old Oxford Bantam 180 with the Tec-Arc HF unit would run a plasma torch when on DC ....
What does iirc mean and have you seen it done in the uk cheers I assume it means pulling the back off and changing where the inputs cables go in to the machine and also plug?Yes, IIRC all the way up to the 85 machine will run on either flavor of electrons.
The 105 is 3 phase only.
I can see that being reinvented, somehow, because that Oxford doesn't get hot or bothered by much, and gives a really nice stable supply....That's pretty much how the plasma cutter was invented....
Go to the Hypertherm website, and download the manual. What does iirc mean and have you seen it done in the uk cheers I assume it means pulling the back off and changing where the inputs cables go in to the machine and also plug?
How much did it cost ?Bought a brand new Hypertherm 45 sync today really happy with it so far
Voltage might be an issue, the lowest arc voltage in the hypertherm manual is 30A fine cut, low speed, mild steel 0.5mm, torch to work distance 0.5mm, 68 volts. Perhaps a different torch would give a shorter arc making it a bit more viable.I can see that being reinvented, somehow, because that Oxford doesn't get hot or bothered by much, and gives a really nice stable supply....
2500 ish with vat and I think the cartridges are £45ish with vat £38 pounds without. Had three cartridges and plug chucked in for free. How much did it cost ?
How much do the "all-in-one" sync cartridges cost ?
The Oxford has two output voltages , 50 V and 80 V , with up to 180 A available on either.Voltage might be an issue, the lowest arc voltage in the hypertherm manual is 30A fine cut, low speed, mild steel 0.5mm, torch to work distance 0.5mm, 68 volts.
