Connected one of these to my WiFi.
But, to print from the slicer you need to install an app to a phone and 'pair' the printer with a qr code.

Is there a way around that?
Or if not, can anyone confirm, if I go to the hassle of installing the app, can I then send files from a laptop, over wifi, and save them onto the internal memory of the printer for printing later.
Ie, slice and send a few items at a time rather than slice, start it printing, have to repeat later?

I use the wifi on my 5m.

The print files also stay on the printers internal memory and it takes a USB drive too.

I see no reason why you'd want to pair the printer to your phone if you're sending from the laptop. On my K1 I just went into printer settings and put my printer on my home wifi network, then connected to it in the slicer with a local search.

Ah ha!
I didn't think to look for a better instruction manual!
I've only seen the quick-start guide that was in the box..
I'll have a read through tonight

Generally:

Set your router to assign a static IP address to the printer.
Point your slicer at that IP address.

Well I dont know about the Ff5M but the bambu wanted an hour or of calibration before I could do anything.

This is probably the quickest printer I have set up so far.
Take it out the box, remove 8 screws, fit 2 screws and it's ready to self-test.
Probably took 20mins plus 15mins for the self test.
Well, the auto-bed level is not perfect but it's close enough for what I want so I have just started using it as it is.
