Well. All this distortion of the block bores is measurable and exists. Making a torque plate to replicate it is a difficult trick, but that doesn't mean don't do it - I've never torqued down a head, tipped a block upside down and measured it, but I think I will, if only to prove or disprove the extent, and difference between a head and a plate.

But you build engines to win right? You should learn how torque plates are made, and how easy it is to measure bore distortion - bolt it on flip it upside down and measure,… not a difficult ‘trick’…

I love it when someone tells me what I should do, after telling me what they would or wouldn't...
