Where to find this old checker plate?

We need some checker plate like this for a train restoration. Stockist of new some old stuff.
Squares are 1" centres.
Two bits at least, must be 2ft x 2ft 6in.
5mm ish thick.

If really stuck, it might be possible to make it by etching (maybe 6mm plate) with ferric chloride. It would be fairly easy to cut a mask that size on a vinyl cutter.

What is the corner radius on the pockets ?
Might mill them, switch to a smaller endmill to sharpen up the corners.

Please put both photos side by side. The original has square checkers (the corners are all 90 degrees). Your photo shows a rhombus (two angles less than 90 degrees and two angles greater than 90 degrees).

I'm sure I've seen that sort of plate on The Australian Armour and Artillery Museum chanel on You Tube on a German armoured car and I'm sure they said they could still order it but on that occasion they didn't have time to wait so they just fitted chequer plate.

Also, the OP's are depressed squares, not the small lines like in the "road plate" example (grooves)
