The propensity for shocks due to failing insulation on them is legendary... we used to have one fruitcake who would grab the brush in one hand and the earth return in the other - at 20kV. It's probably similar to a failing HT lead on a petrol engine initially; his argument was that once he'd shorted it out the power supply couldn't maintain the 20kV so the average voltage was much lower.
One of the propane fork truck fitters used to get newbies. He would hold the plug lead end in his hand and ask them to turn the key then grab their other hand.

Look across the store content top line there are numerous store areas . In the Haul icon on the left there ( where I got captured ) is mainly Temu & Ali stuff , some pure tat. The home icon has tools of sorts where you can spend hours and hours looking at all 23000 or more products.

The last few days, this lot arrived.
New number stamps.
I gave up explaining to the sales staff, that they were not defective, as there is only nine stamps.
The beer and the sad cat game from my friend, who heard I had a bug, so she sent me a get well soon bundle.

Today we went over to a friends house for lunch, she has just bought a house right out in the sticks, north Essex. Laying at the back of a cupboard she had found an elderly & rather rusty gun, Could i look at it for her. Turns out to be a single barrel muzzleloading shotgun. Rather battered & can best be described as relic condition, Platinum inlays & blow out plug signify it may have been a fair quality piece in its day, That day is long gone now. Anyway she didnt want it so it came home with me.
I drop a cleaning rod down it & it appears that it might still be loaded. Off to the shed to swill it with WD40 & draw whatever is stuck in it!
It is an antique so no issues with the law. I may put a photo up on the gun thread later.

As an apprentice my foreman would call me over , grab hold of me then pull a plug lead off. Getting a HT shock always affects my neck and gives me a headache. Haha mine arrived today too - I just checked and they can take a 100w charger for the fastest charge time - most macbook pro chargers for example

Collected but not recieved, thats a convienent excuse for delays. Will the shop agree when I call them tomorrow?
Complete lie, they must have wanted an early finish. We have been home all day, there are no locks on the short gate that they could step over if they wanted.
A recurring theme with DHL. I try not to use them but its not always clear who a shop will use.
Postal regulator, if we have one, likely would not care for this fraud.
A visit to their local depot tomorrow might get some progress - it did work with DX and DPD.

Call me a miserable old git (most do), I have no time for any of that malarkey. Elbow grease, plugs for a diesel, slicing open a bag of dust as the hold it over their head.
I'd sack them on the spot.

They sent me round to a local parts supplier once, when I got there I said put the kettle on , they’ve sent me for a long wait. Another time one of the guys said he was looking for a squeak and got me to get in a boot , they shut me in so I went to sleep. The foreman eventually opened the boot and started to give me a bswearword until I said that I suffered from claustrophobia and if I hadn’t relaxed I would have panicked and probably damaged the car . Total BS but I got away with it

We had a couple of fitters on one section that would open your sandwich bag and take a bite out of each sandwich, one of the victims set them up one day, after taking the regulation bite out of each sandwich they found him and told him how nice his sandwiches were, his reply was "what was on them?, I found them in the bin this morning"
A mate and I moved into a workshop with a third guy who was already there. On the very first day the original guy came out and said to us "Which of you two b*st*rds has taken a bite out of my sandwich?" we both denied it, and went to examine the evidence. It soon became clear that a rat had been having a nibble.....

DHL are a shower, alright. Every time I get a parcel from MPB in Germany, DHL deliberately sit on it for up to a week, to try and force customers to pay through the nose for a rapid service.Drop Hide Loose

PSST You can get spray bottles of elbow grease these days .. liquified sugarsoap .. cleans off all manner of grease & gunge.
