Hi All,
I'm hoping to paint my 1992 integrale project this year and I would like to have a plan in place for which product to use.
I've stripped the shell back to bare metal then applied 2 coats of Lechler 29107 epoxy primer. Throughout the winter and spring I'll sand back and recoat a few times to build up the depth then guide coat and flat to a paint finish.
When the weather picks up I then want to move to (non-metallic) colour. From various sources I've been recommended Jawel 2k acrylic, Max Meyer Duralit DG and HMG Nisocoat. Since receiving those recommendations I've found drawbacks to all! I have a decent sized compressor and air dryer, but I don't have a booth (check garage pic) or much experience. I have a second, smaller compressor so I'm happy to get an air-fed mask for protection and I live in a rural area so I'm not worried about poisoning neighbours with over-spray. Based on the massive amount of knowledge on here, what are your thoughts on a sympathetic product that will flatter the beginner and be (relatively) easy to use! I know everyone will have their own opinion and there won't be a consensus, but some real world experience would be really good.
Many thanks
