I bought this one as well not long ago (with Fakita batts as I have no Makita battery tools).
It's not been truly tested, but the 19mm head wheel bolts on my Renault Master Camper whizz off effortlessly. The clever auto-stop feature when undoing bolts (so they don't spiral off into oblivion but sit patiently on the end of the thread) is very neat & handy.

My other Batt tools are Erbaur (impact screwdriver has been great, while the meatier of the battery drill options is powerful & an awful lot less money than an equivalent popular brand, the 4.5 grinder has done me well too). A bonus was that when I was doing on site stuff with the generators - Erbaur stuff was a lot less attractive to the light fingered than Yellow & Red kit.

I've asked the question of the 3D printing Guru's if anyone has done an Erbaur Batt to Makita 18v adapter (cos I have good 4 & 5A Erbaur batts & a fast charger).
I don't have the workload to justify thousands spent on top brand power tools

I got one to use makita batteries on Hikoki tools for my nail guns

This little cig car charger may prove useful, I will try it on a flattened battery and report back.

And these battery carriers are rather well made.

This grease gun does what it says on the tin, it’s already done a few hours of greasing. Doesn’t seem too much of a faff to get bled up after using up a cartridge.

I don't have the workload to justify thousands spent on top brand power tools

Before you do that you will need to find out if Erbaur batteries have over discharge protection built in to the battery.
If they don't and you use the Erbaur battery in a non Erbaur tool you could run the battery totally flat and brick it.
A friend just did this using a genuine dewalt in a copy dewalt tool.

As someone who uses a couple of different makes of battery with a couple of different makes of tool I struggle to know how anyone can do this. To me anyway, it's obvious when the battery is running out of charge, that's when you stop and recharge it.

Some of the monkeys at our Men's Shed do it. They will continue to use the tool as it slows down and stops. Even when the battery cuts off the the tool they switch it off and on again to get a few more seconds of run time.
They were using a fake dewalt palm router when they bricked this battery.

Our petrol station is pretty relaxed. I fill the pickup, quad and two Jerry cans without any restriction. I’ve seen folk in with 25l drums and nothing is said to them

We found the tow bar, the thief only “borrowed it”. He’s stayed well clear of me since we found out who took it

I agree with that. I've worked with HM Forces people and grunts who use the line 'The company will pay'. To me anyway, warning that you might brick a battery is not needed. Those who won't, won't, and those who won't listen, won't listen.

And being provocative (me?, never) I'd say the attitude is way more prevalent that will be admitted on here. Think of the comments about thrashing hire cars.

It's not something I'd thought of so good to know.

After recent purchase of the new larger, more powerful Erbaur battery drill (old one was maybe 5-years-old, smaller & it's gearbox cried enough) on a deal I got another 5A new battery & a fast charger... so I've got enough batts and charge capacity to not need to pound batteries to death (the grinder is the only "hungry" tool - even on the Ugga Dugga I doubt it'd get hard-worked with my use).... so if I'm mindful hopefully it'd be OK.

I have found & ordered an Adapter now on EBay. £20 but it gives me more options (the Fakita batts seem OK, but are of the weedy "several hours" charge variety - so if it kept me going through one task it'd be worth having).

This air pump although a tad noisy seems reasonable, the frame is the air tank, I will try it out on a tractor or dumper tyre and report back, it has a pressure cut out switch.

Agree that does look like a handy gadget. Slow punctures seem to be a constant part of life these days - so a rechargeable, portable inflator with a bit of "oomph" is an interesting prospect.

I got mine off Ebay for £96, they have gone up a few quid since. They are cheaper on Aliexpress Compressor.
I will try it out and get back to you
