Candy washing machine jumping around

I don't see how any input from the motor could cause it to jump about if the spring mass damper system is intact.

Unless I'm incorrectly reading "jump around" as the machine physically moving about, when you actually just mean the drum operates a bit jerkily/erratically.

I'm thinking of the time when a cement block was loose on mine and it sounded, on final spin, like a helicopter was landing in the porch and the machine was headed out the door of it's own accord.

The sensor does show a resistance on a meter.
It also shoes a voltage.
Both change when I spin the motor by hand.
Tested both motors I have here and the sensors on both are pretty much the same.

The 2nd motor I got was used so its possible it also has the same fault?

The thing I thought was a capacitor in the middle of the wiring loom is listed as a noise suppression on the parts list. Not sure if it's worth trying to bypass that?

Looms tests out good so it's really only the motor or the main pcb that can be faulty.
It has an NFC chip on the main pcb (to set programs etc from a smart phone) I've installed the Candy app and it connects but won't download data which might be a sign of a faulty pcb?

It's a sealed drum, ( bloody things ), bearings can't be changed, I know you think they are good but I have to wonder.

It hangs from 2 springs with 2 dampers at the bottom, all ok

It jumps around banging into the underside of the worktop until it walks itself out into the kitchen then it jumps around even more until it pulls its own plug out.
Unfortunately the power cable is slightly lodger than the water hose which came off first...

Testing today (after checking tightening everything) machine empty:

Drain & Rinse 10min cycle - starts, drains spins stops, spins get faster and faster each time but there is NO jumping or vibration. After about 3mins it stops with the E08 error. Noticed the 10min timer does not count down at all.

Full wash 90min cycle. Works fine until about 5mins from the end.
I've never watched it work before but apparently it is ment to rotate anti-clockwise at this point before going clockwise into the final spin cycle. It doesn't seem to make any attempt to spin backwards, just goes forward and starts jumping around. The jumping seems to get rapidly worst without any major increase in drum speed until it stops with an 08 error again.

Odd thing is the behaviour is repeatable.
The official manual gives 08 as 'problem with drum rotation' which I suppose could relate to rotation, balance or speed?

Was planning just to take it to the tip and grab a new one except I got overly frustrated with the Argos website that has about 150 different machines on but won't show you which ones are actually in stock in the local store.
Next nearest is curry's but that's an hour round trip and the stock checker on their website wasn't much better.

Tempted to buy another exactly the same so I can swap parts to work out exactly what's wrong with this one.. except its over 2 years old now so nobody seems to stock it any more

Drum spider partly broken? We had one like that that would run fine empty but bang like crazy with clothes in.

But hold on, 2 years old, Argos, under consumer law you are entitled to a repair or full/partial refund under the 6 year legislation.

I had this problem with ours, drum had some lift so thought bearings, replaced same and still the same took the drum out to find the spider had corroded due to a build up of detergent and started to part company, new machine bought.

if its not going backwards then the washing will be in one place in the drum. It goes back wards to loosen up the washing. Its just jumping cause it is out of balance.
Does it sit still for a period before going forward again? (ie, should be reversing)
I had a problem on our machine and I found it was a broken wire between the motor and where loom is clipped to frame as this is constantly movng.

Yea, just need to find the proof of purchase!
Don't actually know if it came from argos, curry's or online!
Thought it might be quicker to fix it than look for the receipt.
