Yeah, I can finally get it built up and back to the customer.
Some quite impressive brinelling on both the inner and outer of the one way starter clutch meant getting spendy with Yamaha.
Had to look that one up ........ .I learn something new every day .
Why did you have to say that? Curiosity got the better of me so I then had to look.
This could now become contagious, I wonder how many others will need to look it up?

I think it's like a lot of technical vocabulary really, you just become familiar with what others around you use. Then words/descriptions fall out of use as the subject becomes less common.
In this case I suppose it's not used as much because units tend to get replaced now rather than stripped and components within the unit replaced.

A bit of deconstruction and washing up going on today.
This RF900 engine is the most likely candidate for the Dresda frame, so as I had some time I've pulled it down so that I can use the empty cases to see how it fits/looks. If all's OK there I can then see about rebuilding it with some enhancements.

No, the Metmachex is spot on for it.
Oooh Metmachex. Is it the deep braced one? I had one fitted to my tuned GPX1100 B2 back in the day.

This is it when I was looking at an air cooled 16v. The Metmachex goes really well with the Saxon wheels and Slabby forks for the period look.
