Just ordered 1500 litres of Kero. Best I could this time do was 53.6P/Litre including VAT. Boilerjuice still the cheapest, even though quote I got from the people who usually deliver the oil for Boilerjuice was £30 quid dearer as per usual.

Ah, I see you judge the temperature by old school methods, I find the decrease in temperature is directly related to the increase in the cost of heating oil. (And gas, and electric....)

They still haven't given me a date to fit it yet

Around here, the oblong 275 gallon tanks are everywhere, not that expensive either.

1500 liter metal bunded tank.
Fully installed and old one removed.
The old one is a nasty old 3000 liter behemoth that he THINKS will lift out over the trees and under the electricity cable...
It's a job I did not want to do or be involved in.

Tank, valve, level thing etc will be half of that.

I’m guessing that will be the same firm as we used when we
lived in Eskdalemuir. If it is great firm, we had a faulty gauge on our tank. We only realised when the heating wouldn’t work. Borrowed a 45 gallon drum full of oil from a neighbour to keep us going. Phoned Jimmy, he came out that afternoon in the wee tanker and filled us up. Battled through a foot of snow and wouldn’t take anything extra for doing so

Carrs Billington Al; I always used Johnstone Wallace so when Carrs took them over I just continued. I ring about for quotes sometimes but they’re never better than a few pennies a litre so just stay where I am.
