Anyone use Temu ?

As title. Is it legit ? Some of the prices are too good to be true, and we know what that usually means.

Mrs Robo uses it quite a bit and everything arrives OK, the only thing to beware of is Chinese clothe sizes are at least 2 sizes smaller than UK sizing!.

I've had odd things off there, only 20 quid type stuff, but was all good on those occasions with no issues, it's a kind of ali express alternative I guess.

Ordered some t shirts off there the other week, they arrived promptly and are definitely ok for the money and mine are true to size.

Used it quite a bit no issues so far , one thing you need to be wary of is choosing the correct option for whatever you buying sometimes it is not very clear if there are multiple choices

My wife uses it. Some of the stuff is absolute tat. She bought work trousers for our son and they are very good

I used Temu and AliExpress for carbide turning inserts for lathe/mill tool holders depends who has the best deal at the time, they may not be high end branded names but they do the job.

I have purchased various other stuff from them, the really cheap/free stuff can be iffy, but most of the time it's fairly good gear...

The only complaint I've really had was, a set of 5 free (incl delivery) workshop magnetic trays for nuts/bolts/bits, they took 4 months to arrive by road, and would only a match box each.......

Most of my tea shirts now come from Temu, and they now have a UK warehouse for some items so delivery can be 3 to 4 days....

I think the trouble with these ultra cheap sites is that someone will end up getting screwed, whether it’s the cheap labour making the stuff, decent companies making quality products that can’t compete and the environment swamped by all the tat that goes straight into the bin

There are companies in the UK that are well respected suppliers to the Model Engineering Type and DIY'ers that sell exactly the same stuff, but they've had their name printed on it, can afford to buy in bulk and sell it at a higher price.

I'm not opposed to trying items for the far east at a cheap price, you just have to accept that maybe you might waste a few beer tokens, but so generally far I've been impressed with the cost/quality ratio.

I also purchased DRO kits for my Lathe (£200.00) and Mill (£300.00) approximately, both at least half the price quoted from UK based suppliers....

ive been buying strimmer fuel pipe from there for years seams good does not last as long as realy good stuff about 2 years before i have to replace it but as its for me it takes 20 mins to swap them out and for the little amount of money they charge price is good

ive also bought a few scooter parts only the mud guards throttle etc they been fair stuff

I've had some good stuff off Temu. An OBD reader for £5 that works spot on and some LED lights plus a big bagful of the plastic bodywork fixings that cost £3.50 for three at the spares shop and some sewing machine attachments for a paltry sum that all fit perfectly.

I use it for replacing the small bits for the workshop,
you can buy a box of stainless screws for example for the price of half a doz elesewhere
some things come not as advertised, you can easily get a refund, and often keep the item,

Because of Brexit it's my go to place now....I dont buy plastic rubbish...
Things like carbs for mowers etc...(always seem to have one on order)....and carbide stuff....
Anything like that would need to come from Athens or Germany at 4 time the price....
like others here it's all been reasonable qual...
I did buy an electric start kit for a big Honda genny....less than 1/2 from Germany, my other go to place...
fitted and worked perfectly but no instructions, could be a prob for some...
My only gripe is that smaller items come in a plastic bag and often HUMAN mice seem to get in and lift a few bits...
All my orders arrive in no time at all....
Do ur homework and then check twice for the correct part....
lastly the reviews are gen not worth looking at....
So far the only item that went bad was a recoil starter for the above Honda genny....the important parts were made from old biscuit tins....hence the elec start.....PS a gen Honda recoil unit cost more than the elec kit.....!!!!!
go for it, it's only money....hahaha...

I have used both Temu and Aliexpress.
Recently I tend to use Aliexpress more as it has more of the stuff I need.
Tape for my Brother printer is about £10 here £2.50 delivered appears to last just as well?
You have to read the wording closely and if it clothing look at the size guide, I did buy a T shirt that was a small with a XL label when I measured it but got a refund with no hassle, but others have been fine.
I feel its all the cheap stuff thats on Amazon and Ebay but at much better prices.

I've been using AliExpress recently...they're good for bits and bobs. Takes couple weeks to arrive but quit often it's the same stuff as you get on UK sites.

...when I say the same I mean identical but maybe half the price. But if it goes wrong I assume I'm on my own. So far everything I've bought has arrived and has been correct.

My first AliExpress purchase I think was the wire feed motor for the kemppi...can't remember what I paid...£10 maybe!

I've tried to buy the cheap Helicoil set cause I'm waiting for the paycheck and @Kram said they work (not those specific ones but generic Chinese coils)
Champhering bits cause I'm probably an idiot
Few roadrunner badges that will act like HF logos on the 126p (it'll became a little Delta S4)
And a Crash bandicoot badge for my brother cause he loved this game at the times we had the PlayStation 1 we grow up with this game.
I've bought fake Lego months ago and never bought again since cause it will make explode your balls with notifications and emails .
Other thing I've discovered is that you need to make a 20 euro minimum order
