I haven't actually got a printer at the moment. Weirdly, working with them day in day out makes me not want to see them in my personal time and I've got rid of most of that and gone low-tech at home. I do have a mitre saw though.

its up to you but that form is a git to form right, the wrong mix and it will settle out and flatten for fun
if you form it upside down and tap too much the big stones will drop to the bottom whilst a form built facing upwards is a pain in the backside to build but handy to tap to allow water to rise whilst sinking the pebbles
the best type is to form upwards and use the center as a smooth point but id advise an inch on the bottom than a point that will break off for fun
look at clay drain
that 1" allows you to form properly whilst it being smooth
the sides just build to your height that your wanting and float the top strip off the day after while green
if your floating within a form you want an edge slightly tap the form so it sinks a little tap to much and it will sink and drop off the edge in the middle of it and your floating both the internal and top
you want 2 mixes made one before dinner and one much later so it hardens a bit but you need to triangle form it in the middle of the form the next mix goes on top of that mix and allows you to float the form into shape without it droping or sinking as much as the core is stiffer

Horrible weekend, Friday my brother in law passed away, I gave CPR while waiting for an ambulance but he’d been gone a while. Had a crack at making a form as I thought it would be a good distraction - I couldn’t focus, every measurement went out of my head, kept cutting wrong. Got there in the end.

maybe a bit more silicone in the corners and plenty of oil you could turn it upside down so it drops out after, save taking it apart?
I've never done it but I've seen people have tiny air holes in the top so they can blow them out with a compressor
I guess when you re-use it you need to stick a bit of tape over the hole so it doesn't fill up

Yes ^^^ have seen this in steel concrete forms, and yes they apply a piece of tape every tine.
Works a treat they tell me.
