2 compressors to run a blast pot

Hi folks.i am linking together 2 hp compressors to run a 10 gallon pressure pot,but my question is if the pot is rated at 150psi,how will the pressure be regulated to stop the pot exploding?

Do either of your compressors have a pressure switch set above 10 bar?

Further, you will want a water trap prior to the pot. Just get one with a regulator.

Your two compressors will still only supply whatever the compressor pressure cut offs / pressure relief valves are set too (Normally 10bar (140psi)).

Yeah I realise that.so is it just a case of adjusting the 2 compressors so the both both together are not supplying more than 150psi when both running?

I have a copper pipe air dryer on the wall,with 4 lever valves and a filter reg after that.

What are they set to now? If they're set to 140psi now indervidualy, then they will still only supply 140psi linked together?

fit a half inch filter regulator and run the pot at 90 psi min think mine run at about 100 to 110 ish

One cuts out at 120psi,and the other is not running yet as it needs a start cap replacing.

So if both compressors cut in and out at roughly the same as stated above,the pot won’t continue to pressurise?

Correct. And there's no if. they will behave the same linked as seperate.

if they're both cutting out at 120psi ish and the pot is fine to 150, I'd join it all up without regulators, you're going to need as much flow as you can get, the less restrictions the better!

only part that needs regulating is the output from tank to pot kept at 90psi . running the pressure up and down without makes it difficult to keep the media and air pressure ratio constant you end up chucking more media through than air when it drops wasting grit and not being as efficient

tis possible as long as theres about 6 seconds diffrence on starting will be ok

If you watch a start up on an analogue clamp meter the peak is roughly a second or less.

That's what I have on my twin pump compressor, but of course, twas designed that way
