New Induction Hob

Gave up on trying to fix the old Electra Elecheib induction hob and bought a Bosch. No problem there. The old hob was fed from a length of 4mm² butyl.

The new Bosch can be fed from one or two phases.

It comes with a length of this cable:

So they are suggesting to use this length of cable for single phase operation and just wire the cables in parallel.

However....up top in the terminal box are two brass links. Doing nothing, just sat in a "made for it" plastic slot. They look to be about 4mm². There is however no reference to them in the manual?

I can see no reason why I can't use the original 4mm² cable and then use the links in the terminal box to link 2+3 and 4+5.

That's what I'd make of it.

just bang the 4 core and earth in and and forget using 4.omm and links its a fart on. couple the brown and black together at the wall conector and the blue and gray in wall conector other end in hob as in diagram

Too late, it's a faff getting to the cooker connection unit...
