What do you mean" shedfuls of things........" My house is still not finished after 50 years ( this month)Answer to the question is Yes.
On the other hand, provided you don't mind wasting the money, and lets face it, almost everything is a waste of money in the end, holidays, pub, restaurants, golf club membership etc etc. It is sometime to occupy your mind, and take it off of other things. Annoying, frustrating at times, but therapeutic in its own way. As with all these things, you can shut the door on it and walk away for a while, maybe a long while, maybe years even. I am sure most of the guys on this forum have shedfuls of things that have gone untouched for years, and realistically, will never be finished.
Having said this, you probably have things like this yourself, so easier to resurrect one of these instead ? Making money, or even any profit out of it is irrelevant, after all, you will never get any return from your fortnight in Torremolinos or wherever.
Doing worse than us then. Only 35 years here !What do you mean" shedfuls of things........" My house is still not finished after 50 years ( this month)
Any links for parts we need the two rubber bellows for the torque tubes, last bits we bought from the US as it was cheaper?I get all my parts from Germany. The UK suppliers are too pricey.
Running ? Who mentioned running ?What model mog is it you are running?
Mate had one. Even if it was brand new and nothing wrong with it they are horrid. Think his was a 2.7d auto. Best he could get out of it was 22mpg. I had the Merc pickup for a hwile - based on the Nissan Navara. That wasn't much better either. People may slag off Land Rover's but they are much better! You could get a dirt cheap Discovery and have less headachesConsidering buying a Navara, 2.4 Turbo D All the extras, Chassis has cracked, failure sheet (Major defects) says: Cab or Chassis has excessive corrosion, within 30cm of a cab mounting on both offside and nearside rear, these are the worst, it also has, in no particular order: Leaf springs both near and offside rears seriously weakened, both front coil springs fractured, Drive shaft CV boot split, no longer serviceable, mirror insecure, headlamp inoperable, fuel tank insecure, service brake lagging in operation front offside, Service brake excessively fluctuating offside front and nearside rear then one I don't understand: Engine mil inoperative or Indicates a Malfunction? Then a whole load of minor fails, number plate light, windscreen washer etc. etc.
The vehicle is on an eleven plate and the bodywork and interior are sound and look good. That's all it has going for it. Oh it also has a roof rack. and it is cheap. Am I being delusional if I think I can take it on and fix it?
I use these. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=db05...TE3NzdFNkYmeXBpZD1ZTjgwMDB4NTAzOTkwNzkx&ntb=1Any links for parts we need the two rubber bellows for the torque tubes, last bits we bought from the US as it was cheaper?
