Clarke sandblaster probs

Hi folks,got this Clarke 10 gallon sand blaster,and struggling to get it working with medium grade crushed glass.doesn’t seem to be a lot of air pressure to me compared to what comes out of the compressor which is 3hp 14cfm.just dropped it down and found one of the ball valves is not quite opening all the way,so will upgrade those.any ideas.

I found this forum looking for improvements on my harborfrieght pressurized sandblaster. I see lots of posts about @brightspark valve But having trouble finding details.
I didn't see a way to direct msg him (probably because im a new member).

Looks Like I need 4" round stock to build in lathe. (ordering some aluminum)
are there 2 versions? a 2 piece, and a 3 piece(spacer)?
how deep does the inside need to be? 3/4?
does the spacing of the outlet and hole for gate lever mater?
Are there plans with measurements?
Thanks for any info I'm looking forward to making this I need...

I've never made those work with anything but kiln dried sand..

Warning, silicosis is a big risk, wear full airfed.

I certainly made mine work with 3mm crushed glass - as every horizontal surface in my double garage will indicate . . . covered in a layer of glass particles . ..

If you've decent air flow (not just pressure), the media is free flowing, and all hoses and valves are clear, it's just a matter of playing with the valves to get a good balance of air use and girt use vs effect

I tried mine on crushed glass. Had a whole pallet full of it lying around. Problem was there were little bits of steel wire and all sorts mixed in with it

Use that stuff in my little recirculating spot blaster, and in my blast cabinet.

I used sieves sold for sifting soil for bonsai gardeners to separate useable glass from contamination and dust. Allowed me to get a few uses out of the glass.

The stuff I had was still too coarse. Ended up visiting B+Q
