Most of those I have seen have a sliding clip for your shirt pocket...I haven't lost it. It's just that I'm wanting several more so that I can put them where I need them. That one stays with my workbench generally, but I'm finding I'm moving it around with me more & more, because any other rules I have just aren't as easy or clear to work with.
We had one of those and any Stanley tapes he condemned went in the skip (then home) We were only making cardboard boxes working to 3mm tolerances.We had a jobsworth at one place that wanted all the rules & tape measures calibrated before we could measure anything job related, we got round the problem by using these stickers![]()

its quite hard to use a ruler as a hammer though.Rule, ruler, tea stirrer, paint lid remover, scraper….all the same.
