They fit perfectly inside 10m glass fibre roach poles. Very useful for stopping the pole sections from splitting at their bottom ends, when collapsing the pole. Those lumps of cured silicone rubber can make useful buffer stops.
I have an aerosol can of contact adhesive, and was very surprised to find it still sprayed and worked 2 years after I first used it.The rtv that comes in an aerosol type can keeps for ages without going hard.
How did it go solid without activator? It's been a couple of years so can only think I didn't close the top properly.
The stuff has been exposed to air in manufacture - shipped to fillers in big drums, which are opened to be able to supply the tube filling machine. So it's starting to cure from the moment the ingredients are mixed.
Well that's a bit rubbish. Only 4 months to use it? Not many home users will use a full tin in that time. I've definitely used it a couple of times so I think it does last longer than 4 months, maybe a couple of years was optimistic though ....
I just slice down the full side with a Stanley knife whilst in the gun, if it's still liquid it will come out.Only needed a bit.
Nope, nope again, nope again again, outrageous was only opened 5 years ago - tube stuff does pi*ss me off tho
