Vacuum impregnating felt discs or blocks with the stuff might give a useful sort of hybrid material.
They fit perfectly inside 10m glass fibre roach poles. Very useful for stopping the pole sections from splitting at their bottom ends, when collapsing the pole.

I have an aerosol can of contact adhesive, and was very surprised to find it still sprayed and worked 2 years after I first used it.

Been there several times with cartridges of Tiger Seal. Went back to the tins of seam sealer in the end. Went to use my tin of fibreglass resin yesterday - it was rock solid in the neck so made holes in the can to get what was left out. How did it go solid without activator? It's been a couple of years so can only think I didn't close the top properly.

Apart from the usual things like filling the toilet cistern from the rain butt, I know an older lady that takes the battery out of the alarm clock everyday..

We used to get PU for glass bonding to cars in 205 litre drums with the PU sealed in plastic inside, but it still had a "shelf life" of a few months.

Well that's a bit rubbish. Only 4 months to use it? Not many home users will use a full tin in that time. I've definitely used it a couple of times so I think it does last longer than 4 months, maybe a couple of years was optimistic though ....
As with everything these days it looks to have gone up 20% since I bought the last lot.
I just slice down the full side with a Stanley knife whilst in the gun, if it's still liquid it will come out.
I worked with a guy so tight that if he put a fraction too much water in the kettle... he'd pour the remainder into a Thermos so it'd reheat a fraction quicker/use less energy when he had his next brew.

At an electric car charging point we got chatting to another owner. He had solar panels and was on some deal where overnight electric was either free or super cheap. He would get up early to boil a kettle so he could fill a large flask which kept him in tea all day. He must have saved at least 15p.
