Short question.
At the gun or at the cylinder?
At the gun or at the cylinder?
and no copper pipe and jubilee clip joins on acetylene hoses [ for the farmers amongst us ] .There should be non return valves at the gun end.

"gun" ????
Flashback flame fronts travel down the pipes at the speed of sound and the arrestor stops them right before the regulator.
Burning torches are often known colloquially as burning guns over here.
"gun" ????
I've never heard the term "gun" used for an Oxy/acetylene/propane torch.Put a big nozzle on and light it up without enough fuel gas.

mine are + 50Hoses should have a simple nrv in them (torch end) and flashback arrestors straight off of the regulator.
Remember they have expiry dates , generally 5 year lifespan.

because its pointlessWhy not have at both ends.
Can’t be over cautious with the stuff.
I believe it will cause too much flow restriction & pressure drop as well.because its pointlessgive one good reason
ive used the gear for over 50 years with no bother
what happened next? Was talking to somebody years ago, no flashbacks, torch went #puff. He turned around, oxygen cylinder glowing red hot in two seconds
