Or the corkscrew that you screw into a bottle, pull and it straightens itself out, leaving a Cork with a hole in it it and a straight corkscrew!

Went to my favourite Wurth store yesterday and I get on real well with the manager there, I was scratting around for some paint (they didn't have the one I wanted) but he invited me to look in the "expired and damaged" box. A giant tub of hand cleaner FOC 
. Excellent, our last one just ran out. It has a big crack right at the top of the tub so I simply emptied it into the old one.
Some of the stuff I had to pay for but the rest was gratis.
Then my new ER40 collet chuck for the CNC lathe showed up. How do you make this for £22 delivered? (ball nut was separate from ArcEurotrade)
I have a backing plate for it, I just need to set it up in the lathe and machine a register on it.

Bargain. They're the kind I wanted, but I ended up with some fixed ones at £60 for the four brand new. The guy who used to park his van in the way was my main use for the ones like you have, and he's moved out now so it's not an issue.
And fix their shoes too...

About 2 years ago I got 5 × 4lt cartons of Deb Lime handwash and two dispensers for £10 at a liquidation auction...A giant tub of hand cleaner FOC
Pound for pound it might be one of the best purchases I have ever made for the workshop.
My missus was a little unsure of having a handwash dispenser by the back door, but has rapidly been convinced by the reduction in dirty smudge marks.

Huge economies of scale, more or less unmanned automatic CNC machines, absolutely minimal QC checks, and subsidised postage rates*.
*Until 2021 China was entitled to subsidised rates under the International Postage Treaty... When the UPU withdrew that on the basis China was no longer a developing economy, the Chinese postal service just absorbed the cost internally, so that small volume sales from the manufacturing industry would remain highly competitive .
