A battery heat gun will never be a replacement for a mains heat gun. (I have a mains heat gun for bigger jobs)

But for a battery heat gun this one seems very capable indeed.

I’ve been wondering about the heat gun instead of the corded Titan one I have

Heat gun is good enough for doing the odd heatshrink, but any more than 5 or 6, and I'll get a mains one out.

A battery is never going to replace 1kw+ of mains power, so the gun works by reducing air flow, and the hot air jet being more confined.

I have an old Makita heat gun that has been happily belching out hot air for what seems like a couple of decades. However, I have to be absolutely sure to unplug it after each use, since the sliding switch can be easily turned on by something rubbing or bumping against it.

Metal shrinker stretcher for car body repairs. The jaws appear to move well in this out of the box. (It is common for these to need fettling out of the box to work well but this one seems OK)

That's a very good price...main issue I've had is the screws holding the jaws often come loose. The other obvious issue is having the lever on the back is a bit illogical!
