They are still excellent, I have a red one of old times and a new one the same as yours.
The one bad thing is the fuel sticks, the newer glittery ones seem to keep going out and need relighting.
The old pure charcoal ones were far superior and I never had one go out after it was ignited.
They’re the same as the ones I have, not used them much but the clips did feel decent on mine. An elastic band, hair bobble or similar should be enough as an additional belt and braces against them opening.

Yes the clip is secure but my concern is, I could quite easily press the spring loaded opening button by accident with bad results.
I had an idea that instead of a pouch to keep it inside my spare pair of gloves and it will keep them nicely preheated.
I'm not sure, they behave as I remember. Easy to get the end glowing red but if you put straight in, the heat will be sucked out. Lighting with blowtorch, first heat the whole stick without lighting, then get the end glowing and blow untill 15mm is red., put it in the case and hold it open just a crack and keep blowing it. That seemed to keep it lit but possibly wastes some duration.

Need some more storage on the wagon for those "not used very often" things that can live under the sleeper cab, so OH acquired these from the bread tray mountain at the food bank where she volunteers:
Picked up a couple of 50 tray storage boxes for the workshop so I can carry on tidying up all the nuts and bolts and such like. No more fiddling with my small parts

Which should tidy up the awkward corner and let me get rid of those flat parts box things which I've never got on with. Invariably what I need is in the box on the bottom...
And hopefully end up with 3 like this, all sorted and labelled:

-150 euro for a big hole in my Land
It's meant to become a mechanic pit for my shop
I've finally got a start in the building process.
Unfortunately not in the place I wanted to be but it's a compromise let's say...
Anyways I now have to buy concrete and blocks to build the pit floor and walls.
Being the shop inside dimensions 6x3 meter the pit finished dimensions will be 80cm wide x 1.8 to 2 meters long and 1.5 meters deep.
Again a compromise but I can lift the car up a bit and I'm not going to use it for big jobs.
Leaving enough space for moving around and not have to work with my arms extremely over my chest high (I'm not very strong and I have difficult to apply a lot of force having the arms at an higher level).
The width is dictated by the 126p Wich is only 1.3 meters wide and wheels at probably 1.2 meters I couldn't really go wider than 80cm to avoid to load the car weight over the blocks walls
Final length it's a compromise to because I want to save floor space for the actual workshop area because it's already small but I can work around during the organization process to find an efficient space management.
No pics yet unfortunately but I've got another used Lego set I've just finished to assemble

Cheapy £13 compression tester. I was after the 10mm adaptor which you cant seem to buy seperately.
Shown alongside the Husqvarna one, which only came with a silly 18mm adaptor.
Also more feeler gauges, I always seem to loose them! Checked with micrometer they are accurate.

Some bits from IKEA of all places.
I've had a couple of bits of kit damaged in the past by leaking alkalines so I've been slowly swapping over everything that takes AA or AAA to rechargeable batteries - if it can run on them.
I love the eneloop cells, robust, low self discharge, decent output, not too fussy about how they are recharged.
IKEA rebrand them at half the price so that's a win, must be up to about 50 of these little suckers now.
These USB power adapters are pretty good too - big clive and a few others have done teardowns and testing and they seem to be well designed considering they are only a couple of quid each.
I confess I'm not too keen on their furniture, but their electronics seem pretty decent – at least they inspire a little more confidence than the amazon wun hung lo specials.

Just had this given from the old man. Found in the deepest depths of the tardis that he calls a shed after a clear out...
Can't remember when he bought it, but estimates atleast 25 years old. No markings that i can find but seems solid
He has no need as he bought new vices when he turned the other shed into a wodd working cave so, 4 inch vice for me.
Heavy as lead, no play in it at all, not even any marring on the jaws and I can screw it in and out with 1 finger. The handle is even straight!
All in all a nice little addition that will likely find its way out to my cart if I ever get to make it

Went to the tip yesterday, and caught a guy who was just going to throw these in the metal skip. 
They were rusty, so I left them in citric acid overnight on the wood burner. After a quick clean up it reveals that there really are metric and imperial adjustables, so you see, every day is a learning day
