been looking at mig welders for car body work, found this forum which is making my choice of welder a lot easier,

Budget for your PPE. Welcome to the forum. Have you welded before? Practice loads before going anywhere near your car.

yes Ive welded before the old way with oxygen and acetylene, and did a course at guilford tech way back when knights were bold ?
yep caught the car alight.
so many years later going to try mig, did a floor pan with a clarke arc (stick) welder that worked out ok,
not been able to find courses for mig welding though.
seems to be a lot of whichcraft involved with mig machines ?
as shedendman asked, no not much dosh mate ,potentially a one off but with the car being 22 years old at some stage will turn in to a restoration
someone suggested a clarke mig pro 90 so will check it out , needs to go down to 30 amps or under,
but will continue to investigate.

The Clarke 135 used to get rave reviews in classic car etc…..you want a proper gas bottle, not those daft throw away ones.
You get what you pay for with a mig machine.
