boilers down at moment and ive found a part but i want new and im not paying 200.00 or more either for a pump

ive already been told its obsolite and boiler wants changing

yeah right its a pump and theres plenty of parts still available for it

found an alternative pump 100.00 but it changes a value by a small amount due to hole size so not as economical as original part

so as a chilly house ive pulled out the homemade candle heater and to say its heating up a 15ft square room isnt bad with 2 4hr tealight candles

a note it gets fresh air when i get for a new brew and also theres a fresh air leak into the room from cavity so no risk of carbon monoxide

Today removing a small sycamore, got it down to a stump but they wanted it very low. The boss brushed all the dirt back, nothing of any risk visible. Cutting with the new saw and chain, which was cutting very well. At half way, ping, the sound of a ruined chain
There was a thin, green plastic coated steel wire, running up along side the trunk, both us us cant believe that we missed it.

Just to complete the circle, finally mounted the quick change fixture, which is great, in theory, practically you need a lot of wall to mount the storage brackets and mount the other presses on them, they don't look very elegant.

Well, the Dillon, the blue one is a multi stage press best suited to pistol calibers and similar style straight wall cartridges, every time you pull the handle it produces a finished round. The one on the left above it, the Forster, is a general purpose press with the ability to change dies quickly. The heavy cast iron Lee to the right of it is the heavy duty boyo. Doesn't matter what it is, when I pull that lever it is going to do whatever I ask of it no matter what the cartridge size and it can do the biggest of cartridges with ease. The very top is my priming press from RCBS and the jury is still out on that one.

now i dont get an f75 issue i get an f22 fault on the boiler

but my booklet states pressure or pump faulty

i can get the pump to start every now and again but when it tries to restart that f22 soon comes up again

so its either buy a 200.00 pump or buy a 100.00 pump

now there is an or to all of this and most plumbers dont want you to know this

ever think it could be the capacitor at 5.00 for the part itself

now my pump is free spinning the water is crystal clear

ever been ripped off by your plumber when the part could be just 5.00 for it and they want to do a pump change at 200.00

Got the engine box finished yesterday, as said centre drain channel is removeable to make engine removal easier, just undo 4 buttonheads. Next job for this boat will be a rudder when the 10mm stainless arrives, already have the shaft machined.

Three from a random box of bolts which fitted.
They were a surprisingly fine thread though.

I have others which will do, but I was eager to test it.

Obviously we all know that it will remain with three bolts forever

my bender just has a square welded to it underneath and thats adequate enough for the vice to hold it

Almost finished this desk for my son he designed and was meant to help....

made from 6 old scaffold boards sawn in half planned down and biscuit jointed together

Breaks down into 4 parts to get upstairs as its nearly 100kg

Hopefully something he can keep and be around long after me

I needed a couple of 1" bsp nipples urgently to sort out a plumbing issue.

Local plumb centre or whatever they are called now had them in stock. Great.
Couple of quid I naively though, no £7 each… Ow much?! Sod that I’ll make them I declared.

Consequently wasted a couple of hours digging around to find a piece of scrap pipe that wasn’t in too terrible condition, cleaning it up and finding the Presto Minor and working out an ingenious way to hold them.
It almost certainly wasn’t worth it, but it made me feel better.

Anybody else fall foul of the curse of knowing you have the tools and probably the materials somewhere and thus feeling obliged to use them even when it probably wasn’t the smartest idea?
At least it didn’t leak, that would have been embarrassing.

Yep. As pointed out my photos of the compressor tanks are not good. But I did not even contemplate using soap and water as I have a jet wash....which was not available at the time. Lol

Helping out a mate for a bit this morning. Making some big sieve things. Not a huge amount of work, but a bit awkward.
Folded channels from 2mm stainless, then rolled to 1200 diameter. That's the first step of the job done.
