Your posts reminded me of this tree local to me, we happened to be there at the weekend so I got some pics, the supports are very hefty at something like 14inches square (three in total) and they have some sort of padding on top, similar to carpet.

Quick reactions saved my thumb but lesson learned. I shall reserve one handed cutting for the less powerful 2511, at full extension in the tree..
I had just sharpened and adjusted the rakers a bit on the low side, so it was a bit jumpy on ivy.
I shall also stop abusing the 020T as a ground saw, which was only because my cheapy McCullock cs380 is not worth fixing. I have just now bought a Lidl 53cc ground saw for this sort of abuse.

A lot if ivy was cut. Originally it was 1-2 meters above the fences. Chopped up small and it has so far fit in 4 green bins, likely 5 when the rest is done.

Back in 1981 my bro hired a 24 inch chainsaw and full safety gear , then went to cut his hedge with ivy & hawthorn to bits .
He started the saw, revved it high let it die then took it into the hedge , massive scream and he's got the chainsaw cutting through the peak of the safety hat and goggles ,m scooping at his skull on its way to his brain . . Someone years previously had put in a chain-link fence with heavy galv'd strainer wires , it made a lovely ladder for the chainsaw to run up as he was bent forward holding the saw .
In A&E the guys reckoned another 1MM deeper in to his skull & he'd have lost some grey matter and been seriously damaged for life.

A bit more progress on the thicknessing sander. Finished machining the drum and its shaft, with a couple of semi-circular buttons to hold the abrasive strip. And made an adjustable motor mounting plate. I’m sure I’ve got a little v belt somewhere but blowed if I can find it so I’ve ordered a new one. Now it needs a guard for the belt drive and a guard/dust extractor hood to go over the drum, which I think will be 3D printed D-shaped ends and a sheet aluminium cover bent round in a semi-circle. If I’m feeling adventurous I might tig a bit of tube onto it for the shop-vac.

Servo drive spacing isn't ideal, but I can't be bothered with adding another cabinet to free up space in this one.
Should get a couple deliveries tomorrow, so I can replace the bits of paper with real items, and get a better feel for how the top of the cabinet will be laid out.
Then I need to start thinking about wiring strategies, and what other bits I'll need to get it all wired up in some kind of non-chaotic way.

Yes it was a very new Sthil , it had a chain brake that worked , first thing I checked when I got back from the A&E session . Had John got a proper hold of the saw with his left hand it would have tripped before it hit his safety hat , I guess he put the trigger on to full belt just before he stuffed the bar into the hedge and being right handed hung on tight with his right hand as it ran up the wood & old rusty wire .
What do you do when the soldering iron doesn't quite cut it with thick wires and rc connectors?

Did you photo scan an original larger model then shrink it to size ready for printing before pulling a print ?

Why do you need to hold the spring in? and that spring should not need any mechanical aid to compress it unless someone has put a big spacer in
Ive not had one of these apart before, so had no idea how much push would be needed, the push it in with a screwdriver seemed like it needed 3 hands to do it but theres only 2 here. and Im just too crumby for playing hunt the wire clip when it goes flying, or catching fork springs. All the bits back from the powder coaters so fastened the brackets on the wall, with the weight hanging I fully expect to see the actual wall on the floor tomorrow!
Hopefully this will mean the end of faffing around on my hands and knees trying to change bench presses and I can just use the one I need for the job, installed (or swapped out) in minutes:
The blue one, the Dillon, needs a complete refurb but I have a couple of kits in stock, a job for the weekend I think.
