I believe you'll run out of power/torque before you get to the max. of the cutter.

Definitely. They're nice to put a small chamfer on irregular shaped stuff though.
For straight edges the mill is quicker and a lot quieter.

Yes, i was using it on plasma cut "keyholes" for chains.
Walked around pretty nicely, using it pretty deep gave a nice chamfer
for easy chain entry.

I use a 40 grit belt sander for smaller stuff or zirconium flap disks in a grinder but for thicker stuff i tend to use a plasma cutter now its so much quicker

8mm thick mild, bevel for a groove butt weld.

Gas cut or plasma, tilt head over for bevel

Takes minutes and just requires a lick with a flap wheel or file.

One big advantage of the deburring tools is the lack of contamination.
Most other methods require some other cleanup before welding.

Probably not so much (if any) issue for mig/arc but certainly a time saver for stainless/alloy tig
