i have a rather expensive one i got given tested it on a crushed smoke alarm you never know when its needed if theres ever a leak .the government arent likely to tell you anything if there was or down play it

Pretty much this. I was able to monitor the Chernobyl plume years ago, using a radiation meter rescued from a skip, but that's seen better days, and the detector, in the posting above, seemed like it was worth a punt.

Errrm, yes ;-) To get an idea of what's "normal" for round here so that, when it's not normal, I know it's time to get my tinfoil hat on, or maybe my lead foil underpants ;-)

Fakita ( makita clone) die grinder from EBay.

Been watching out for a fakita version of one since I tried out a mates genuine Makita version. Only fault I had with his was no speed control, as least this one has.

Please do a review when you've used it, be interested to see how good it is & how well a keyed chuck is balanced. It would be more flexible than a collet chuck as long as it grips the bits tightly enough.
