I wanted a small, cheapish whitworth socket set to keep down one end of the workshop where most of the old machines are. This Sealey premier 3/8 drive set for 13 quid fit the bill.

I wanted some 1/4" whitworth brass countersunk sets screws for the Wadkin saw I'm doing up. Probably got some lurking in the barn somewhere but I was working away from home and needed a bit of retail therapy.

Finally, I was browsing evil-bay and spotted that a seller called Portsmouth light engineering was selling a batch of Meddings drill will gear shafts, and I needed one for one of mine. 50 quid but saves me a load of time renovating the original shaft and gets the drill working.

It should turn up in post next week. Then it will get stripped, blasted and repainted in Roundel Blue.

Its better than that, its a fork rotator. A tad heavy to drag out of a skip on your own and the crane lorry is off the road atm. If its there next week they will be coming home to daddy

Took advantage of the recent ebay discount - not too sure how much of a mega bargain they were as they seem to be the DFS of the diagnostics world but I don't think I did too badly.
Tried out the battery tester, seems to work well - not tried the charger yet but reviews seem good.

Yes and beyond the start ring gear on the flywheel is the absence of a gearbox.
Hence the celebrations!

I've been looking for one for a while now, I had hoped to buy one from a forum member, didn't seem to work out, but never mind...., won this on the Bay of Fleas for £26-00 + courier costs.

A bit of wiring repair/shortening/tidying and a new power cable n plug, got it working today as it should.

Abit under capacity for my choice, but it'll do for the time being until I find a bigger one...then I'll have 2......

Just need to hang it up now......

My back will thank me....
