Hi all,
I have a 1971 mini clubman project on the go and i am interestd in banding some standard looking 10" steel wheels to go with it. Does anyone have any suggestions on the "best" way to go about doing this. I know that ideally i want to be able to turn the wheel slowly as i weld it so its a continuous weld to minimise the chances of it being porous. (My mig welding is up to the job of doing it) Also, i am planning on cutting it with an angle grinder as it wont fit into my dads lathe.
Hints tips and pics if anyone has any would be useful. Also if you have a set of 10" mini steel wheels you fancy getting rid of, please do let me know.
