Deciphering cheap central locking kits?

Im after a cheap central locking kit to do the doors, but i also want another output to latch a relay (for a pre-heater)

Ive found this kit, that seems to do the job -

Its one of the few that actually gives a wiring diagram, which is a bonus, ut not when i have no idea what

1) connect with manual is,
2) what "siren" does (i mean i know what a siren is, but this is a locking kit, not an alarm, so im unsure)
and
3) how the diagram doesnt end up disabling the indicators (ie they would then both flash at the same time always)


Further, but not as important - i assumed these kits had one motor with feedback (im assuming "anterior motor" in the diagram, that was on the drivers door) and then a load of slave units (any idea why, what im taking as slaves, are called "poster" and "master")?



It seems that the kit will do what i want -
press the lock button, doors lock
press unlock, doors unlock
press and hold any button, trunk release goes live (which ill wire to my latching / timer relay, one of these or similar - https://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/adjustable-delay-timer-relay-delay-on-or-off-12v-10a.html )
(or better yet, press the trunk button, as then i get the light flash to prove that its received the command, and the heater is on)



Basically, id rather know the details on the item before i buy it, and im hoping someone here can assist me to understand it in full! : )

I have a basic kit in my car on that the outputs to the door motors are ‘live’ for a short time just long enough for the motors to actuate the locks.

Because the master is a five wire. The additional three are signalling to the controller that the lock has been manually operated, so that the slaves can do the others. You don't have to connect it like that.

If it were me, I’d be asking the seller the questions which need answering…

For the siren, I’d assume it is triggered if a door is opened, working off the battery voltage dip when the interior light switches on….so probably has an alarm function…

That makes no sense, unless it only uses one side.

Although they have also labelled master & anterior the wrong way around...

If there is only one output for indicators wire it to the hazard switch. Or through a couple of diodes (they might come in the kit or be pre-wired)

Siren could be a voltage sensing alarm as above or you wire it to the existing horn and it beeps when you lock/unlock.

"Connect with manual" is for a seperate lock/unlock button/switch - see it uses the same 2 colour wires as the master motor. You'll need a ground to the switch as well if you want to fit one.

On the system I have that uses the same wire colours, manually unlocking a door that has a two wire motor doesn’t unlock any of the other doors as the green-blue wire are just output only which is controlled by two relays inside the controller to swap the positive and negative for lock and unlock.

Is there any real reason why these are always wired to the indicators? Could i just flash the side lights instead, and make life easy with the wiring?

Connect with manual can also be used with some alarm systems that include switched to ground options when arming or disarming the alarm

Because you can see them from all around the car.
But you can wire them to the side lights, interior light, whatever you want.
(Although add a relay if you want to pull much power)

Hazzard warning light stuff always hurts my brain.

The wiring diagram is below. If the Chinese kit just has one output for the flashers, where abouts would I connect it to in the diagram above to take advantage of a single connection (ie without having to make up a diode block) -

You are understanding perfectly. There is nowhere that you can inject a single toggle, unless the hazard switch is on at the time. If (sensibly) you would like all four corners lit, just connect to the sidelight circuit.
