I did not know the threads were tapered. I expect the original studs were M8 turbo end and M10 exhaust side or they had a wider unthreaded center section.

With so many millions of turbos in the world that don't come loose and fall off with standard fasteners I'd just be putting standard ones back on and keep an eye on them. I used A4 stainless on my bike manifold and flat washers and they never fell out.
Don't over-tighten them excessively, or they'll go into plastic stretch when the manifold gets hot then they will come loose when it cools.

I dont plan on replacing them unless they fall out again!
Not tapered on any of the turboed cars I've owned. Some have looked tapered due to corrosion.

There is a clear taper on the short thread of new studs for exhaust & turbos for Volvo, JLR, and a few German brands I've worked for - maybe also Ford but that was a long time ago. I'd take a photo of some I have 'spare' but I'm off work all this week.
ETA - some also have serrations pressed into the thread, not sure of the name for it but it's clearly there to 'bite' into the tapped hole. The taper isn't on the outside of the thread, it's the uncut 'core' that is visibly wider at the base. Again, apologies if I'm not using the correct terminology.

I often find that some of these fancy aftermarket things are a lot more expensive than main dealer prices.

If they’re genuine as mentioned they’ll have marked up the price and then there’s the shipping.
I’d give your local Ford parts dept a call if you’ve one close to you it should work out cheaper.

Cheers, I will see how my standard bolts fair first, if they work loose I may try nordlock washers next.
I'd suggest you avoid using stainless bolts, if they get heated they have a tendency to gall the threads if you try to remove them.
Maybe try a turbo refurb place. The turbo isn't likely to be made by Ford so they will likely stock the correct bolts but not at Ford prices.

Yes I didnt want to use stainless for that reason they gall threads so easily.
Apparently these bolts working loose is a known problem on the Focus ST hence the aftermarket locking type bolts on the market.

I spoke to the old owner of the car last week he said the bolts that were missing were those super 8 ones with the clips! so they clearly do not work!
Ill try the nordlock next as I have those in the garage. ?if that fails then its drill the heads and use locking wire me thinks

Would the front section of exhaust benefit from a bit more support ? I know there is a flexi in the system but that wouldnt stop it tugging away at the manifold.

I think the support is fine as it never came apart with the 3 bolts missing. The car is pretty low on stiff coil overs so there is no give really.
