Without seeing it, its just specilation, but there are ways to prevent barber chairs. I will assume she was inexperienced -although it says fully qualified (which I am not!)

Got to disagree there. I have female friends who are far stronger than me, and weigh a lot less. Low body weight is a massive advantage for a tree climber.

Found the branches very snappy compared to the previous leylandii's. The 2511 is excellent.
Felled it high so I could get a couple goes practising danish pie. Quite sure my hinge was good, parallel, not sure why it ripped out -I did trim the bark off the sides before hand as Im told that can hold it up.
A wedge wasnt enough as it was back leaning, so pulled over with rope.

Nothing too technical I'm afraid , The die was a touch too small so I ground it out and polished it up.

Made a simple extension for the plasma torch.
I always have problems making nice consistent cuts freehand with the plasma. For straight cuts on plate I have some dedicated angle to use as a straightedge, and I made a circle cutter for the round stuff, but freehanding is always a problem.
Old age and a hand that's not as steady as it used to be is part of the problem, but the size of the torch and a heavy cable that's fighting you all the way doesn't help. I have a lot more control with an OA-torch because of it's length and the way you can steady it.
So I made this simple extension from some offcuts and it's a big improvement.

Not made, simply added to. To save fannying around reaching over to the vacuum cleaner to turn it on/off, added a zigbee switch to the mitre saw, & a zigbee plug socket to Eric. Can toggle him from the saw, now.
I've done the same with Horace in the workshop, a while ago. He's controlled by the same switch as the workshop lights & lamps.
Those switches have three independent scenarios you can use. Click, double click & long press, so you can assign a different function to each.

Cool. I have a noisy dust extractor. One of these set-ups will be handy to keep it quiet when not needed.

It's all Sonoff/Ewelink gear it's using. I got one of their iHost zigbee hubs the other month, (it can work independantly of wifi), but I did use a zigbee-wifi bridge initially. That works fine tok. The iHost just removes total reliance on wifi.

This is a zigbee-wifi bridge, which you can use in place of the iHost, but it's only a relatively basic setup.
