Ah, I didn't realise the transceiver blew away with the antenna.I'd imagine the stuff it is connected to he probably doesn't wanted "cleaned".

Was while they were building the pyramid….was that when it had the golfballs or the new pyramid?
Its not far away from there, maybe 15 miles, north westWas this place "above Whitby" called Broxa by any chance?
Yes, you are probably right and no, I wasn't being serious. Actually, I'm not even sure how an antenna wire can "blow away" and strike an 11kV power line.I'd suggest that if one end of the antenna entangled an 11kv line while the other end of it is still connected to a transceiver, the electronics might not appreciate it.
But then again, I know nothing of ham radio.
Because it will be a long wire fastened to trees not far away from the 11kV line.Yes, you are probably right and no, I wasn't being serious. Actually, I'm not even sure how an antenna wire can "blow away" and strike an 11kV power line.

OK, thanks for that. I was just having trouble imagining a wire antenna that would generate lift in a wind. But all sorts of things have happened that I haven't imagined.Because it will be a long wire fastened to trees not far away from the 11kV line.
Ideally, it will constructed so that in the event of an end getting loose, it can't reach the pole. It's an annoying place to have it, right in the corner of the property, if it were right at the back it would be clear of potential danger.
The problem she has is there's no overview of total import and export plus self use. They want to know the best time to shove the laundry on, charge a car etc. so they maximise self use.
Wash and tumble dry when the suns out…..we send our holiday cottages laundry out…..money well spent, but expensive, but with 6 Id have a laundry solar / battery powered if possible and pay someone to do it.They have about 6 holiday lets with probably over a dozen bedrooms with several changes a week so she's not just thinking about the best time to wash her smalls
Presuming individual hot water supplies, multiple diverter widgets to sensibly fire excess generation from the two phases out to the energy hungry tourists' hot water cylinders is well worth considering. I've just priced up a set for the split phase setup I mentioned here if you'd like the details. They have about 6 holiday lets with probably over a dozen bedrooms with several changes a week so she's not just thinking about the best time to wash her smalls
Further thought, in their own property, might be worth getting an industrial washing machine that has both hot and cold feeds. If it can be sited next to a decent hot water cylinder with its own diverter, she can stack up hot water for washing when required. It's a big part of energy requirement in a wash cycle, unless doing very cool washes. HW cylinder needs to be really close to minimise pipe loss, using as small a bore pipe as practicable ideally. Let's be honest, when doing 6x changeovers, the washing is likely to get done whenever it can, rather than whenever the sun shines. They have about 6 holiday lets with probably over a dozen bedrooms with several changes a week so she's not just thinking about the best time to wash her smalls
