Wanted wire strippers, advice on make/model required.

Doings lots of wiring on trucks just recently, and it seems the new breed of 2/3/4 core wire outer sheath is harder than I remember, and is a right sod to trim down without damaging the inner coloured insulation.
I am genuinely struggling to get a nice damage free cut, in fact I am spending more time trimming than I am wiring!
Most connectors are superseal or good old fashioned blue and red crimps to give you an idea of the cable sizes I am using.

So any make models of pliers anyone would recommend?
I am happy to pay for decent gear, but I am certainly not minted.

For T+E and flex up to say 13A thickness I find the Stanley Fatmax Wire Strippers are pretty good.

I think an example of a sheath remover, to which Parm, refers is the Knipex Ergostrip.

Normally I score the outside ( not cut right through) then bend sharply to split the sheath.

These are for stripping outer cables on twin and earth and flex cables, but expensive.

My favourite tool for stripping outer insulation (e.g. the white bit of a 3-core mains cable), is this one (for about £15):

You shove the wire through the green hole, stick your finger in the big hole and spin it round a few times. The insulation then pulls off fairly easily.

You probably need two different strippers, one for the outside sheath, as shown by Dr.Al, and the "rabbit" strippers in post #2 for the inner wires.

Yes. I stripped a piece about three days ago when repairing a friend's sewing machine pedal.

I've found various brands, of that style to work well - even Aldi's! They start to not auto-reset which I finally realised was due to a screw coming loose/falling out - replaced and tightened, and back to full working health.

That to is what I have always done, bugger will not split, it seems to be the same on their 2/3 and 4 core, seems a decent make.
Think it was Guardian cabling, all the reels from the same supplier.
