Milwaukee 12V Cut Off Too

Are they anygood?

I can see it being useful for a few awkward spots under vechiles as well as raking grout out in the bath room before I re grout

I have one, chopped my Golf to bits with it and some metal cutting discs.

Really good tool, nice and light.

You might want a couple of 6ah batteries depending on what you're cutting.

I dont have one! But my boss does, has a steel cutting blade fitted, and he reckons it is very good.

I see it as a way of using my worn grinder discs too! just make a adaptor to fit them and hey voilla

They are similar, have a fixed speed of 20,000rpm, and the blade only rotates in one direction.
When on sale in Lidl shops they cost only 1/5th of the price of the red one ( £20 ).

Handy little tool, and not quite as aggressive as an air cut-off tool, so it doesn't bite/kick as much.

A 3" cutoff is on my shopping list so I've watched many reviews - Most claim the DeWalt is a beast by comparison to Milwaukee (2x the power) and only marginally bigger/heavier. If money was no object, it be my choice but it's nearly twice the price of team red and I don't see any genuine complains on the M12.

I have one. I keep it in my truck at work. I use it for cutting jubilee clips in awkward places. It’s very handy but not very powerful. It’s very easy to stop the disk I find. Brilliant little tool though.

Yes, the DeWalt DCS438 18v 3" cut-off is a great tool. I saw it up close on the DeWalt stand at the recent Screwfix trade fair in Farnborough. Unfortunately, the tool plus charger and three 1.7Ah batteries, with "Trade Fair Discount" was on offer at £340....

It’s very handy but not very powerful. It’s very easy to stop the disk I find. Brilliant little tool though.

That's why I actually quite like it. If you jam it, it'll just stop, instead of trying to jar your hand/arm and shred the disk like most air versions will.

Not a screw-on disc fixing, I assume - unless there is some safety feature included?

Disc over spindle, internally slotted cap next then allen key to secure.

The slotted cap locks disc to spindle in both directions.
