Lol that would be my initial reaction till I looked in more detail. Although a trained machinist would be way way quicker that I would be doing the job. So pricing by time is not realistic for me.

I do find pricing a very interesting subject though.

One problem will be the print direction. Not sure how it's being used but as I have said earlier I would print one and use a bronze bush in the center for strength.

I made it to act as a working guide so i could send it as a pattern for someone to make in Aluminium, if it works ok..

??? I'm confused now. You've made a great model, which you can check for fit and dimensions ,tweak if required - that's half the battle done.

I tell ya what, I had a feeling some on here thought that £150 was a rip-off, but I don't bother working for free!

I ask everyone that comes to me: "Can you buy this part anywhere in the world?" If the answer is yes I tell them to buy it no matter that they will have to pay import and or VAT as it is always going to be cheaper than having me make one. I hear @pressbrake1 with his £50 job, done plenty of those myself BUT, the second you have to start buying material in and buy a tool, even just a drill bit, the £50 job becomes totally unprofitable and you are throwing time (and specialist knowledge) at the job for no reward. As @Munkul has pointed out he has included a degree of "admin" in the job, that would include the time to make the phone calls.

A person asks if anyone can do a simple turning job and they get sixty alternatives or people questioning their judgement
