How about NEVRI .How long, I wonder, before they change their name yet again!

The fly in your comments is in the last line. People will always choose the cheap option in the mistaken belief that it will be OK for them ,until it all goes T$t's up and them they will still carry on using the same carrier or whatever. You'd have thought there would be a massive gap in the market for a company that can actually do the job properly, ie be organized in the depots, have drivers that
1, can drive 2, speak English, 3, give a fook about the parcels and have time to deliver them.
People would have to pay a bit more but how many on here would do that IF such a company existed?
I have a rule basically I will not deal with Hermes/Evri they may have changed their name but their reliability if anything is worse Most suppliers are happy for me to request that shipments are made by DHL or even in the case of smaller packages Royal mail/parcel force. It might cost a little more but at least you can make plans around the deliveryYesterday I had an email from Evri that said my parcel would be delivered between 10:30am and 12:30pm, it didn't arrive. Another email later to say it had been delivered to address (not mine which is clearly visable on the parcel) photo of parcel and door.
Last night I found their enquiry form, filled it in and talked to a robot or similar in a chat box.
Today I received this reply.....Thank you for getting in touch with your enquiry which you raised on the Evri website via our Digital Assistant. As soon as you submitted your enquiry details it was sent to your local Customer Services team to look into this, rest assured we have it in hand.....
Also today I worked out the address where they had left my parcel, about a mile away from my address and went and collected it from the householder.
I told the householder he may well get another visit from Evri as I had filled in a missing parcel form.
Question is.... Should I inform Evri that I have now got the parcel or since it is their mistake let them continue trying to find my parcel?

Agreed, we have a really good every delivery 'person' but at the end of the day it's the company that employs them and are responsible for their actions.Problem is almost everyone will have bad experiences with all couriers/postal services.
As I say I'm waiting for a Parcelforce delivery for yesterday that they have no knowledge of.
In the past they have managed to not be able to find my address on a number of occasions.
And once managed to destroy a parcel completely.
Evri/Hermes are generally quite good for me.
It's really pot luck as to the driver you get delivering in your area rather than the company involved in my experience.
I agree, it's the driver's that pay for our low cost delivery. At one point Evri were charging £2.85 for parcels. How is that sustainable?Yes but the office probably pay peanuts per delivery, set unmanageable delivery targets per day and fine the driver for anything left in the van at the end of it.

And ideal world insisted on sending out a double air fryer no less than 3 times and all 3 were never received.I have a rule basically I will not deal with Hermes/Evri they may have changed their name but their reliability if anything is worse Most suppliers are happy for me to request that shipments are made by DHL or even in the case of smaller packages Royal mail/parcel force. Evri send me an email the day after I complained and asked me to fill in the few questions at the bottom of the page if I had still not received the parcel. I didn't respond so all should be ok with Evri.IMHO, yes.
Well further to this today the parcel turned up.I'm currently waiting for a Toolstation delivery via Parcelforce.
Was dispatched last Friday and I got tracking info.
Problem is the Parcelforce tracking info takes you to a page which basically says we have no info on that parcel.
Toolstation are "looking into it", meanwhile the next working day delivery of the stuff I ordered has come and gone ....
Well further to this today the parcel turned up.
Two weeks late and battered to buggery.
Tracking info is now magically available and it seems to have been bouncing around their depots (quite literally given the state of it!!) and at one point was highlighted as damaged and repaired.

I've not opened it to see if the contents are intact, Toolstation refunded me last week and I bought the stuff in store and have used it.

Now I am having problems with Amazon or who ever they deliver with. They say a parcel was delivered to me which wasn't and when I look up the tracking details it says.....'Parcel was handed to resident. Received by or left at: DXW3'. When I google DXW3 I find it is an Amazon store in Weybridge which is 228 miles away from my address. Fantastic.
So, just had a word with Ragavan in Amazon customer services, he/ she say they have reordered for me and they will let me know when my parcel is despatched and this will never happen again, hmm.
That happens a lot.Parcel arrived today from Amazon, I had ordered 2 Lessman's wire brushes, parcel contained one.
Back on to customer service and after receiving massive apologies they asked if I would prefer to return parcel for a full refund or keep what I got and get a partial refund? I replied that I would prefer to get another wire brush but if they couldn't do that I would accept a partial refund.
They said they would refund for 1 wire brush and I should see it in my account within 12 hours.
Ok I suppose not so bad, but it was a lot of hassle for me.
But, they are going to refund me £11 which is what I paid for the wire brush that I didn't get and I have since found that if I was to re-order, same wire brush has gone up in price to £16.75
Feels like I'm loosing out somewhere.
