Youngest keeps hitting his tennis balls over the fence into next doors garden.... issue is its a vacant house, so hard to retrieve....
Used to bits of wood like massive chopsticks last time... Another one over tonight.... so a 500mm pepsi bottle cut in half, screwed to a garden stick, we now have a 10ft long tennis ball retriever

Thought I would contribute a bit.
I had built two pontoons previously and now started on the top deck and roof sections. Here is what we have so far.
The deck and aft roof section
Second roof section attached, waiting for the front supports
New assistant Peter as a reference for scale. Now all that is required is to complete the handrails, toilet section, roof racks for the life jackets, bollards, steering consol, bench seats, outboard motor mount and I know that I am forgetting some things. Well not lonely or bored at the moment!

I aquired some of China's finest handles to make the cross cut fence on my saw quick release without tools. THey seem pretty good - metal, and they have the spring laoded detent so you can change the position. Came from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004280544423.html
I loctited a stud into them and on the M16 sized main lever, I turned the head of the bolt and threaded it, so there is still the unthreaded body where it goes through the hole.

Shackle brackets or similar along the deck sides, for tie downs and dock line, mooring, or anchor attachment ?

Not hugely my hands are pretty tough anyway as I work with them every day.

It's me and my wifes anniversary in a few weeks, 7 years married so this year is copper. Been working on this for the last week or so and got it assembled today. Needs a coat of clear laquer still. Pretty pleased with it, started off as a length of 22mm copper pipe and a length of copper rod. Only machines used were drill press for mounting the petals to the stem and wire wheel for shining. Polishing done with 0000 wire wool.

Cut and shut a towball bike carrier so the bikes would actually fit. Changed over to 0.8 wire and my welding has improved considerably

Well, today I tackled a job I have had for a while, the snag with this job was the barrel needed to be .45" and they are rare as rocking horse poo in this country, anyhow, first job, work out what the thread is and it was 16.87mm dia major diameter, then work out the pitch, .8mm (yes, I know welcome to my world) nearest to that in the book is 3/8" BSP but that is 13 pitch so my guess is 17 x .8 mm as the one I took off was Loctite'd in so turned it between centres and set the machine up to cut the .8nmm pitch, **** of a job:
On a spigot too, with 3mm lead.
You might see the new and the old:
Perfect fit, first time too!
Back off and time to cut the coning angle (That is sort of the lead in to the barrel properly) all of the tooling I have made myself as there is quite simply no "Supplier of revolver tooling" in the UK, not anymore anyway:
Left the drive dog on as it can be taken off and put back on as and when I need as there is no deviation from centre turning this way.
Just a front sight to make and fit now.
On a spigot too, with 3mm lead.
