No us electrician's are all perfect

claim that the switch had a schrader valve and none would be lost , i was in the waiting room when they changed it ,nothing hissed out , wether that was a schrader valve or maybe the gas was already gone i dont knowI'm intrigued now, are they saying they changed the switch without having to recover the refrigerant? because that's how it reads... If so, they really shouldn't be working on HVAC systems as they're clearly not competent, and probably don't have the required FGas certification for refrigerant handling, let alone any diagnostic skills.
ordering a genuine part and o ring ,havent charged me yet and confirmed i wont be expected to pay for the other oneSo.. you were there - they found a problem their faulty part had caused - what are they going to do about it?
The only picture I can quickly find of the switch port is hereclaim that the switch had a schrader valve and none would be lost , i was in the waiting room when they changed it ,nothing hissed out , wether that was a schrader valve or maybe the gas was already gone i dont know
Don't put compressed air in an aircon system, aside from introducing moisture, the Oxygen will cause corrosion. Argon if you must, preferably Nitrogen, but you need to vacuum the system out first.
its vacced out as it stands
Not if it has a leak it isn't.
Well used this week! had to break out my Blue-R 95 as we had more HVAC jobs than we have workshop all-in-ones of either refrigerant type! Thankfully we don't do the R744...They use OFN for a reason. (how is your trolley kid?)
true...gas removed then , and openNot if it has a leak it isn't.

how that would open a Schrader valve, I don't know...
Regardless, if they've (to use a modern phrase) 'taken ownership' of the issue and it'll not cost you any more, leave 'em to it - for now.

hooked it up to nitrogen and yes it leaked around the switch/sensor , he sprayed it with soapy water and seems its cracked around the pipe fitting boss
