I need a set of handles now.
I've developed a complete dislike for the trad round handle, and discovered I quite like the squarish handle of the Lidl file set I have, so more of them from Zoro...

Sneaked this into the garage while the missus was on the phone.

It's a Tauco. I'm sure there are a few owners on here.
Naturally, the belt guard is missing. They all are.
Cable is new and very chunky. I don't think much of the cable restraint at the motor though.
There's about 3 thou of run out here, whatever it is. It is much worse when clocked against the top of a drill bit at the chuck though.
Still manages to make a reasonably round hole. Worn chuck? Worn bearings? Any ideas.
Original colour? Call me a Heathen, but I quite like the Hammerite Blue.
Arc of shame isn't too bad.
The drill needs a shorter belt to take up some slack. I'm not sure if this one has stretched or is just plain too big, 940mm.
The motor is a half horsepower Brook.
The return spring, which is pretty weak, has been installed backwards. It returns down instead of up. Does anyone have an exploded diagram for one of these drills?
20 quid off Facebook so I think I have done well despite the issues.

It's new lens day!
It turns out my 300mm is nice, but maybe not quite long enough, and I can't afford the 500 or 800mm, so on the left is a 2x teleconverter. Up next is an Olympus 24mm f/2.8, I've finally bought another Olympus lens! A Canon 28mm f/2.8 too, in case the Olympus is too wide.
And finally the Canon 50mm f/3.5 macro, but I don't actually intend to use it with the Canon, I've got it for scanning film with a digital camera. Unfortunately, mounted straight on my Sony, it doesn't focus close enough for a 35mm frame to fully cover the sensor, and mounted to the bellows, the maximum focus distance is too close. 
I think a short extension tube will get it working just right (Alternatively I use it on the bellows and buy a full frame mirrorless...). Even so, I'm very happy with it, this is by far the best film scan I've managed so far:

Never ran it before but i'm pretty sure i'll get some decent use out of it for those jobs where stick is a bit too much but would be fighting the wind on MIG.
