I've had one for years. Done everything from 8" trailer to 750 / 16 Land Rover tyres. Best if you can bolt it to something solid - I use a paving slab.

I tend to just use a Jack to break the bead, or drive the landrover over them, but those machines do work and arenhandy

Shame you aren't closer, I have one that I keep tripping over. They work, but they are a workout.
Bolting it down to something solid, or a pallet you can stand on is essential.
The bead breaker bit isn't the most robust, and you need to have a wheel which the centre post fits through (i.e. you can't do small mower tyres etc).
Be warned, if your alloys are nice, they won't be when you are finished. You can get a No-Mar bar for them (got one of those too), which sort of works but the clamping bit still marks the wheel.
If you just want to pull tyres of scrappy alloys or do steelies then that isn't much of a problem.
Also buy a tub of tyre lube and use it liberally!

I've used that style on a Coats center post machine, it works "O.K." is about all.
Same as the manual ones, a large shovel comes in and pushes down.
I would be concerned with the alloy wheels, I like my new (new to me) May Tire-a-Matic
that rotates the tire against a steel wheel (looks like a farm disc) to push the bead off.
The air pressure can be regulated down for fragile rims.
It may take a little longer, but I simply keep it rotating, and let the disc slowly work the bead off.
Turn OFF the speaker on this one, and FF to 2:10

i just knocked one up
I got one a few years ago and the blade that breaks the bead needs to be made bigger or it may slide too much and not break the bead, I also found that the tyre and wheel needs to be flat, I used some 4" x 2" pieces of wood around the base.
then if you want to remove the trye without damaging the paint on wheel you may find the standard one is no good so you may want to get a tyre bar like this one

I wouldn’t bother, the one I’ve got looks similar and is pretty useless, it just slides down the tyre rather than getting right into the seam between tyre and rim and forcing the bead down the rim.
Have a look around for s/h. Now got an air powered cylinder type similar to @8ob s video and works better for close to the same price.

I have used one to remove tyres on 10" mini wheels to 16" 4wd wheels. It will get the job done but if the tyres are old I normally need two people. Some of the tyres I have removed have been 30 years old.
I have also fit 16" tyres using it and it was only difficult as the tyres were too wide for the rims. I am now avoiding tyre stores so I will be getting a lot more practice, now that I really want a proper machine I haven't seen any cheap ones.
