Yes, they are quite good, but as you say, not exactly.

I always wonder when a song is covered the feeling of "this is OUR song" is missing and is replaced by the subconscious " this is a copy of someone else's song" in the singers/groups mind.

Unicorns are prettier, especially pink ones. (Oh how it hurt to write that airhead sentence ).
