Next steps for restored car (after epoxy primer)

Hey guys

I've repaired bthe underside of my car, painted it with epoxy primer and seam sealed it.

What are the next steps?
Underside anti stone chip paint?
Also at what point do I do cavity wax?

I've a white car and ideally I'd like white arches but if I need to get them black that's okay too I guess.

Defects and dirt will be less likely to show I suppose.
Also I don't have a ramp so ideally something brush on would be great but if I need to figure out how to make it work I will

do the cavity wax last

i prefer gloss paint underneath so it washes clean and can spot scabs easily

A white enamel will easily brush on over your epoxy.

Wax last as above

If you are wanting to replicate a particular textured factory finish, nothing stopping you putting on an overpaintable stonechip product below paint coat. These will typically be available in a grey or white tint

I see Raptor being pushed everywhere.

According to the safety info I have found the hardener is an isocyanate

Raptor indeed contains iso in the hardener but as with any 2k products, you can roller or brush it on. Overpaintable as well.

It dries hard and paint won't stick to it, unless it's keyed.

I sprayed on rubberised stone chip over the epoxy before overcoating with 2k solid.

I'm considering that but worried about the 2k coming off creating patchiness of two different colours. Thinking about doing hardtop over my underseal.

Thick rubber underseal

I did a test a few days ago, just put a blob on my work bench, after a few days you could still push your nail into it so it does stay soft as it says on the tin. It was also fairly tough as it was difficult to scrape it all off the bench and ended up having to use the power file.

Bought a can of raptor for 30 quid and really didn't seem to cover much. How much would I need to do the arches and underside.

Remember to sand the epoxy before you apply anything over it.
It dries hard and paint won't stick to it, unless it's keyed.

Don't be tempted to go with fine grit, it's the scratches the next coat will grip to.

On the amount of stone chip, I used 7lt on the underside of my Alfa.

Thanks @Exuptoy Nearly there with this bit but every time I think I'm finished a I find something else! But it's good to finally say enough is enough and get some paint on. Any job is better than getting underseal off, a bit of welding is quite therapeutic.

@. I would advise against using plastic for blasting. It will strip the coatings but you want something that will etch the metal and remove any rust.

Crushed glass, or better still supafine jblast or scangrit, would be my choice.

If you are going to this amount of trouble you must first ensure that every last trace of rust has been removed.
To often people skimp on that.

So decided to get raptor bed liner.

Have a few little bits to do before I go at this and of course need some good weather.

Do I red scotch pad the epoxy primer do you recon or should I run something more course like a 180 grit?
