I'm equally lost as to what a "Tea Odour" might be...
Back to the plot....Here's the latest item that I managed to save (luckily before it was actually put into the skip as it's fheavy and I doubt that I wood have got it out). It originally was made as a gas fire so is in extremely good order. Plan was to convert it back to a wood / rubbish burner for the workshop but now other plans have come along so resting in the 'what do I do with this heap'.

Pm sent!Landcruiser 90 chassis and DIFFS and CONSTANT 4 wheel drive is KNOWN to burn the axle splines offa the axles. ( plus cook the centre diff )
NOT greatly different to MK I landy, which is the vehicle I learned to drive in. ( Or break a lay shaft ) 1950 model )

Au is a LIL tiny bit larger than UK, and, as I mentioned, Surf was never brought in by tea odour. ITS NOT an Australian version.
NO parts!!. ( not officially anyway ). No parts manuals. Toyota WONT help you with a surf, its NOT an australian import.
Its a bodgy!!. Wiring is totally a hodge podge of cobbled together stuff. ( I have been asked as an engineer to sort it out ).
90 series is also NOT a favorite over here. (9" rear diff, 7" front diff. ) Well, the full manual version will fetch a few bucks, but the fulltime four wheel drive, is hopeless.
BUT then for shopping in the high street 3.123554 kilometers from your estate, it will work for a while.
Forgot exactly, but its a 3Y or 5Y engine pattern isnt it ?.

I guess the point is, YOU never go anywhere!!. Its not uncommon for wifey, myself n Lily, the dog, to go 3000 kliks to visit our kids. Takes 3 days. Same state, QLD.

Daleyd has the answer !!!. half of india and pakistan have EXACTLY that vehicle.
They just uncouple the rotary hoe offa the front.

It seems to be be doing a lot of work, heavy loads too. I cannot fit a cement mixer in my vehicle. Them bricks would have detroyed the suspension of my 2Lt estate. I don't know the engine capacity, but I'd guess it it would tow a decent size caravan.Thats not a Tardis !!!!. Its a tea odour.
Can go thru water 20 feet deep, just have a look at the english tourists on the beach waving to the guy on the roof.
Very good in floods. Its always the car thats doing 50 MPH when everybody else is doing 10 MPH.
Its also a VERY good two wheel drive, one front wheel and one back wheel. The sunroof will let in more rain than is actually falling,
and it sounds like a grey Fergy with 25,000 hours on it without an oil change.
The salesman definately saw you coming !!.

It's a 3.0 turbo diesel, it will pull a pretty heavy load although some people put a separate transmission cooler on them if towing a lot of heavy gear up hills as they can get hot. I've not had any trouble though.
It pulled something similar to this up a very steep hill when it conked out, the guy had run too low on diesel.
It was fully loaded with auto jumble treasure's
To be fair that load of bricks did finish off the old springs but they were the 24 year old original shocks and springs so it hadn't done too bad really.
I have one similar, a tiger, again a gas version. I suspect it will get "converted" to woodburner and ebay will be used, I have an oil boiler in my workshop, and a vertical gas tank conversion wood burner in the other...
Check out the "Kracken" - Mx5 based, taking a lot of inspiration from the T6. Seems to work from what I've seen of results.

In the early 90's I started to copy a Troll which I discovered had a striking resemblance to a Caterham a friend was assembling. After 9 months of isolation I got fed up and returned to M/c trials . Never did finish it and tried to give the bare chassis away recently but as usual the recipient despite showing a lot of interest didn't turn up so it was reduced to short lengths of usable tubing.
