Easiest way to cut discs?

I've more time than money

Then IMO stick to marking them out, bandsawing/shearing them rough and finish with a belt grinder or coarse flap disc.
Ideally you get enough of a list of end sizes you use, to justify ordering 10-20 of each size and just get them laser cut... plasma cutting works well too, but you'll have to tidy the edges with a grinder.

o thats the truth ,,, I know where there is the most beautiful old folder sitting , but the farmer who owns it tried to bend a new spring eye with it in a land rover leaf spring ,,,, the cast side broke , it was only meant for 1.4mm steel , not 8mm springs ,,, I look at it and could weep .....

The folder I have had that done to it as well.
I brazed it up and it's worked great for the last 10 years.

They must have put a scaffold tube on the handle because they broke that too, but that was rewelded before I got it.

Of course if you try to buy it off them hoping to fix it they will ask for silly money! They'll let it sit & rot somewhere until they pop their clogs & it will go to a scrap yard!

yep ,,, tried , but being farmers their old broken one is still worth more than a new one , cos its been on bargain hunter or some silly tv show once , usually turned into a lamp , or a garden ornament ,,,
tv has a lot to answer for ,,,

someone's been at the wheel with a flap disc, if the cutting wheel is supposed to be the same diameter as the top wheel it is around 8mm smaller, the cutter was made by higgens, I can find replacements for an edwards but Google is showing nothing for higgens bros

It could but I think the smaller diameter is causing another problem

when you zoom in this things doing what you think it should ,,, same ad , just a different picture ... must be the wheels are blunt or just not set up for the thickness

For small quantities I use a bench shear, had to cut this 1.5mm stainless one yesterday, first mark it out,

Then rough cut it with a few straight cuts to within a few mm

Then use the shear to cut to the line in one smooth movement, the thin offcut will distort and bend easily out the way as you pull the disc round to the line.

Then onto the polisher to deburr, using old wheels kept for this kind of job

A bit of a clean up to the surface
