I was too, the black stuff on/in the slabs was horrible, it took several gallons of varying patio cleaners, moss killers, algae killers. Eventually I screwed two wire brushes to the head of an old broom and physically scrubbed it all over. That worked.Even the dog's scared.![]()
That's what I did last Spring, came up pretty good.Brush/spray a weak bleach solution on there, leave awhile, rinse off.
Ammonium sulphamate kills off everything, if used correctly. Waxy leaved plant, including mares/horse tail, you need to add a few drops if detergent to wet the leaves sufficiently.none of them get rid of mares tailglyphosphate salt or sbk

Neighbours did give me funny looks as I crawled about the garden, under bushes, behind trees, in goggles and gloves, injecting plants . . . but a decade later, still got none in the flower borders.
In the lawn where it blends in however . . . but regularly mowing keeps it invisible so I'm not bothered.
i was working for a crop sprayer who used to buy it. it had a hell of a dilution rateApparently, Glyphostate is what the Railway Co's use to control weeds but it's a much stronger formula, which is not available to the public.
