I was curious, so I looked it up. Unfortunately, that symbol doesn't seem to be in the list (although it would be easy to add it). The challenge for someone like me (who knows nothing about the Armenian alphabet) would be finding a suitable set of digraphs. It could also be hard to find a spare suffix character: at the moment, * does greek (e.g. m* for μ), % gives Cyrillic (e.g. Z% for Ж), + with lowercase letters does Arabic (e.g. a+ for ب) and + with uppercase does Hebrew (e.g. K+ for כ). Actually, @ seems to be available, so if you can map English letters to their closest equivalent Armenian (in the way that m is similar to μ and p to π for Greek), I'm happy to add them to the app.

Thanks, but in reality my need for Armenian characters is limited.

Look up AutoHotKey. It's a scripting language for creating your own keyboard shortcuts, you can send unicode characters with it too. This single line of code will do what you're after:

^!c:: Send {U+0547}

In AHK, ^ is the Ctrl key and ! is Alt. U+0547 is the unicode for Շ, so with the script running, pressing ctrl-alt-c will print a Շ.

Autohotkey is fab - I use it for lots of things (including making the digraph window grab the focus as soon as it appears so you can type efficiently). I think I've got about 30 odd shortcuts defined!

Not made today, but made public today: a little tool to make entering symbols easier on Windows PCs. I use this every day as my day job requires frequent use of symbols like °, ±, μ and the built-in Windows method (e.g. Alt+0176 for °) is incredibly counterintuitive. With the tool I wrote, you hit a shortcut key (e.g. Win+K) and then two characters that are much more intuitive: DG for °, +- for ±, m* for μ etc etc.

I made a cupboard to board my cups in.

Well, it's actually around my combi boiler in the garage. Since the thing leaked, maybe because it froze solid, 3 weeks ago, I decided to protect it. I covered all the pipes over a couple of years ago when I was building a car in the garage, to save possibly damaging them with engine hoist etc.

A sheet of 18mm OSB and some battens, and a days work, job done, boiler covered too.
Of course, it'll never freeze again now.....

I had thought of that, there is a gas engineer coming out next week to replace my controller, and hopefuly look into the first stat fiasco, so I'll ask him.
I've left a small gap at the bottom so another water leak doesn't fill the cupboard....

I've been gradually restoring the original door latches, hinges, and other hardware in the old house that we're restoring. I just reinstalled what I would call a simplified variation of a Norfolk-style latch, which is the latest of about seven or eight latches that I've done so far. I generally bead blast and Parkerize the parts, and then apply either warm beeswax or carnauba wax. I try to re-use the original, non-tapered, handmade wood screws whenever possible. If you look at the screws, you can see that the threads are a bit crude, and that the slots were cut into the heads by hand, and not always exactly on center. I use a thin hollow-ground screwdriver to prevent damage to the slots. After all the parts are installed, adjusted, and tested, I apply some gun bluing to the screw heads to darken them, followed by a dab of oil, but I haven't done that yet on this latch, since I might have to make a further adjustment after I install some weather stripping.
