I have a "home made" junction/relay box which controls the lights in my kitchen.




I want to swap out all the choc blocks + wagos for DIN rail terminal, but I can't find a "bus bar" to conmon a row of DIN terminals.
(Basically, I have mains coming in, and eight switched lives +N+E going out via a row of microcontrolled relays, plus live feed to the PSU for the controller)

Are they called something else? Or is there a different way of connecting a common feed to to a range of outputs?

What din rail terminals do you have?

Some have a feature for fitting a common rail, sometimes screwed in across the front (You then get to use the top/bottom terminals without having the bar in there), but you can also get ones that fit across the top/bottom in the holes where your wires go.

They are specific to the spacing of the terminal blocks, the pitch is designed to fit in the correct spacing. Jumper bar if you search in RS.

If you only want a few I probably have some terminals and bar I can chuck in the post?

Wago have a load of DIN rail stuff. I've used some when needing a place to common neutrals.

i tend to use weidmuller from RS...

which ones depends on what you want to do... if you have L,N,E for each circuit you can either separate into L N and E groups as now or stack them using a 3 level block that gives l,n and e on their own level, levels can be commoned as needed ... ie all earths and N interconnected with seperate lives or all separate ...

We use weidmuller for that sort of stuff. You can get jumper bars for them. They even do triple height terminals for that sort.of thing I think.
Earth terminals are connected to the din rail so you only need to earth that once.

I think it's Weidmuller ones I've got in the workshop.
You can get precut/moulded bridging terminals (I think I have 2 & 3 leg ones), as well as strip type where you just cut the strip to length.

And having done a quick order history search, it's weidmuller links I've got RS part no 180-020 for 3 legged connectors, which go with 425-207 (beige - other colours are available)
The ones with the strip bar might not be Wiedmuller, as I think it was for some push fit terminals I bought. I could go and look in the workshop as I know where the strip is, but I'm quite enjoying being warm this evening.

I think these were Weidmuller, simple and quick to fit, just cut to length and push the "fingers" into the terminal blocks.

I could just delete the pics as they are the only evidence, it was a prototype build that never went into production so was stripped down and components recycled.

Found this today on an 18month old platform, that is not long back from spending a good few months back at the manufacturer due to various issues-

That's the earth wire for what is deemed a safety critical piece of equipment fitted to the platform.
I'll email it to our internal tech support tomorrow, and see how quickly the doodoo hits the fan

esp32 relay board thats new to me! is it running an arduino bootloader?
