Post your best welds thread

I've not seen a thread like this on here but have on another forum and it was a good read. (i did search but "best and weld" aren't the best things to search on a welding forum).

Remember its not the best welds you've seen, its the best you've done, so post them whatever level your at, its sometimes nice to look back and have a laugh!

I'll kick off with these (not really my best welds, but I never take a camera to work unless i'm doing custom work, and this was the last custom thing I did).

Stainless 316 1.6mm pipe to billet stainless. 90 amps, 1.6mm 316 filler.

Stainless 3mm thick, butt weld, no Vprep 100 amps

I weld daily as part of my living, but i'm a car tuner.

Well heres a couple that i done a while back, im currently doing a welding and fabrication course so still learning and have had roughly 4hours using stainless and abit less on alluminium and this is what im doing both in 1.6mm plate.

Overall im pretty happy with them considering ive had naff all experiance so far, starting some work experiance tommorow at a well known place that makes intercoolers, fuel tanks, catch tanks etc so should pick up a few tips with my AC welding i hope thanks.

Go onnnnn, have a guess? Just had my first day... 8.30-8pm!!! What a day... unpaid but still awesome and going back tommorow.. done a few labourish jobs like making little 90 bends in 6mm pipe etc but come the end of the day i made myself an oil catch tank... the welds arnt amazing due to they're welders being wayyy different to the ones in college but still not bad.. pics...

And this is the blokes weld that im doing my work experiance for... Frigging awesome! defonatly the best ally welds ive seen before, but i'll get there im sure

I've seen that before Ver y nice piece, I actually like the inside better, amazing finish. It looks like its been pulsed though?

if the welds shown were done by a profesional firm i wouldnt expect anything else but perfect . its the same as anyone else doing there profession . this is a diy forum so its nice to see how people have progressed that arent profesionals

Ohh nice one! Theyre work really is amazing.. for such a small tight knit firm they whack out some awesome work... which is why im doing my work experiance there..

Learning all the time.. and finally getting used to using a foot pedal and not the button we se in college haha.
